“I stress … the deep need each woman has to study the scriptures. We want our homes to be blessed with sister scriptorians—whether you are single or married, young or old, widowed or living in a family. After all, who has any greater need to ‘treasure up’ the truths of the gospel (on which they may call in their moments of need) than do women and mothers who do so much nurturing and teaching?”

President Spencer W. Kimball

1. I grew up in the small town of Pinedale, AZ...population, we'll just say small. The closest store was 30 miles away in Show Low. That's also where I went to high school. I loved living in a small town. Sometime I miss it.

2. I went to college at BYU-Idaho and majored in "Floral Design Management". So while everyone else was crunching numbers and all that fun stuff I was playing with flowers...it was loads of fun. Someday I'd love to have a flower garden filled with loads of orange gerber daisies, which are my favorite.

5. I'm a huge packrat. If it's old and unusable, it's probably under my bed.

6. One of my favorite things is my piano. I could sit and play on it for hours.

4. I think I could go to Disneyland every year. Brian would go insane, but I would love it.

3. I'm a sucker for ice cream. I worked a Dairy Queen through high school. Instead of getting sick of the food, which I hear is what usually happens when you work somewhere, I think it made my love grow. I can't pass a DQ without having the urge to pull in and get something.
7. I used to always want to have a baby girl. After I married Brian I found out that girls just don't come easily in his family...they are few and far between. Ewan stole my heart and made that want fade a little. Then along came Alec and now I really don't know what I would do with a girl. I'm smitten by my boys.
