Helen's Hope Chest

Can you believe all that was done for Helen's Hope Chest this year?

To begin with - we did 31 quilts in 4 hours at our RS Service activity. In total we donated 73 quilts - not to mention the donations for fabric, batting, yarn, etc.
Clothing donations - 52 shirts, 20 pants, skads of socks and underwear and much more!

60 bottles of shampoo, 14 deodorants, 14 toothpastes, 53 toothbrushes, 17 body washes, 15 lotions, 140+ hair clips, plus that feminine hygiene stuff!!

Thank you for helping with back to school items - 75 boxes of crayons, 8 packages of markers, 543 pencils, 167 pens, 14 scissors, 36 folders, 64 bottles of glue, 235 erasers, 8 rulers, 15 pencil sharpeners plus lots of odds and ends

Babies weren't forgotten - 6 pkgs of diapers, 245 knitted hats, 10 outfits, 54 booties, plus formula, bottles, lotion, onesies, and sleepwear

And then there is that MISC category - 33 toys, 119 books, 10 stuffed animals, 18 games/puzzles, 6 purses/wallets, 7 journals, plus sports equipment, jewelry, DVDs and more!

Thanks to each and everyone for helping make the difference in a child's life - even with the necessities! Helen's Hope Chest has become a familiar place in all of our hearts. Even though we will be moving on to different Humanitarian needs next year, please don't forget Helen's Hope Chest!
