“I stress … the deep need each woman has to study the scriptures. We want our homes to be blessed with sister scriptorians—whether you are single or married, young or old, widowed or living in a family. After all, who has any greater need to ‘treasure up’ the truths of the gospel (on which they may call in their moments of need) than do women and mothers who do so much nurturing and teaching?”

6. To make the front apron piece, start with the sides. Fold in 1/4 to 1/2 inch along the long edges and press. Fold again to create a double fold and press again. Pin.

10. Open waistband and place the raw edge of the apron top in against the center fold of the waistband. Press in place and pin the two pieces together.

13. Insert the folded ties into the open, folded end of the waistband. See figure 2. Pin and stitch across ties several times.
14. Position the pocket 2 inches over from center and about 4 inches from base of waistband. Pin and topstitch on the sides and bottom.
